YASHWANTH GOWDA
A Short Intro

About Me

I am an aspiring Robotics Engineer with a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and a cross-disciplinary mindset that spans automation, control systems, and cybersecurity. Currently, I am upgrading my expertise with a Master's in Robotics and Autonomous Systems at Arizona State University (Expected May 2026), following my Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore Institute of Technology.

My technical proficiency covers the full robotics stack. I am proficient in CAD/CAM and Mechanical Simulation (SolidWorks, CATIA V5, ANSYS) as well as Programming and Control (ROS 2, Python, C++, MATLAB, Simulink). This skillset allows me to engineer physical systems while writing the intelligent software that drives them.

My professional experience is uniquely diverse. As a Cybersecurity GRC Intern at CyRAACS, I implemented ISO 27001 protocols and reduced threat exposure by 50%, giving me a rare perspective on securing industrial systems. Prior to that, I worked as a Mechanical Design Intern at GTTC, optimizing 3D models and reducing design flaws by 30% through FEA. I also gained software development experience at IC Solutions, where I built data-driven analytics tools using Java(OOPs).

I apply this knowledge through rigorous academic projects. With teams, I have designed Autonomous warehouse robot using multi-sensor fusion, developed solar irrigation controllers with MATLAB that achieved 60% faster rise times, developed debris detection with swarm robots, and engineered unsupervised anomaly detection frameworks for rocket engines using hybrid LSTM-GANs.

I am actively seeking summer internships and full-time roles in industrial robotics, automated vehicles, and controls engineering where I can leverage my diverse background to build secure and efficient autonomous systems.
